The Ugly Side of Sports

A well-respected member of the anti-doping community shared his thoughts on a recent blog post (penned not by him, but rather, by some sociopath writing under a pseudonym) in which the author seemed to suggest that I merited torture and sexual abuse (in the form of a most foul and disgusting nonconsensual  act - so foul I won't repeat it here. I also won't post the URL of the site, so as not to encourage traffic to it.). He called it, "The Ugly Side of Sports."

The Ugly Side of Sports

Cyclist Joe Papp, who recently plead guilty of conspiracy to distribute performance enhancing drugs, has drawn criticism and support for his actions. This blog, however, goes beyond the bounds of civility in a blatant attempt to insight violence against Papp. It’s one of those items where you issue a warning to the reader that what you’re about to read will be offensive.

  1. The author of that particular post, besides hiding behind a fake name, has to be one of the most mentally challenged citizens residing in his particular region. He (or she?)has never made one intelligent point, only degrading ones to innocent victims. Ignore him and anything he says. I have spent more time he than I should, for he is not worth this much time out of my life. However, you are Joe so I took the time to post my opinion of that swine.

  2. Thanks, Anon. Seriously. Feel free to stop by whenever. And don't hesitate to call bullshit if something here doesn't smell right. It's from feedback that we learn what we're doing well and what needs to be improved...

    Have a great day!

  4. How many days till you go to jail, felon? How well will a snitch do in federal prison? I hope you still have some HGH under the sofa or between the cushions. Bulk up now or practice pillow biting.

  5. Only in America. Plenty of UK athletes who tested positive were put through the media ringer, but I've never heard of anyone making such disgraceful suggestions like encouraging the anal-rape of a doper.

Sure, the do gooders wanted them banned for life from the Olympics, if not sport in general, because they were bad role models for the kiddies, blah, blah, blah - but who cares? The same people who crucify athletes like Chambers or you idolize asshole footballers who are out of control every weekend - drunk and making trouble wherever they go. Bashings, driving drunk, rapes they do it all and you hardly hear a word about it. Real crimes against innocent people. Nobody says shit about it but yet they find time to try to destroy the lives of athletes who dabbled in dope.

Anybody who would even jokingly suggest that your being ass-raped in prison is appropriate for the situation, is probably just using it for an excuse to talk about their secret fantasy without feeling ashamed of it. In fact that’s probably why the imbecile who you've referred to brought the subject up. I can imagine him at his computer looking at gay porn all day but never being able to act on his impulses for fear of ruining his hetero image. He has probably been waiting for an excuse to bring it up for ages, then you came along and gave him an outlet. Now when he is caught looking at that stuff he can say it was for research purposes. What a sad little man. It must be hell for him not being comfortable with who he is. I almost feel sorry for him. "Well done champ, you’re into rape!" What a hero.
