U.S. Cyclists Are Masked, and Criticism Is Not

“This is really a surprise, because I didn’t think it was going to be such a big deal,” Friedman said. “Why we wore the masks is simple: pollution. When you train your whole life for something, dot all your i’s and cross all your t’s, why wouldn’t you be better safe than sorry?"

Just want to say how nice it was to be reconnected with my friend Mike Friedman this fall, and catch up on what we've both been through these last few years. I apologize for any disrespect or negativity that may have characterized my writings about Mike at any time during the past four years. True friends have no need for correspondence...when they meet again after many years apart, their friendship is as true as ever.
